I’m Back!
It’s been a little while since my last post, but I’m so happy to be back to writing and sharing again. This time around, I’m giving myself permission to slow down and enjoy the creative process—no pressure, no strict schedule, just genuine inspiration. My goal is to post 2–4 times a month and focus on creating content that feels meaningful, not just “on track.”
Thanks for being here and for continuing to follow along—it means so much to have you here as this space evolves.
Holistic habits to keep your detox pathways thriving.

I get asked how I support my detox pathways, so today I’m breaking down the lifestyle practices, foods, and gentle rituals I come back to again and again.
These are my non-negotiables…simple, consistent habits that help my body do what it’s designed to do: process, filter, and eliminate.
The best part? They don’t require hours of prep or expensive protocols. These are sustainable, everyday practices that keep my drainage and detox pathways moving day after day…naturally and effectively.
Foods that support Detox
What you put on your plate every day makes the biggest difference.
- Cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, kale, Brussels sprouts) → Provide compounds that support healthy liver function and hormone metabolism.
- Fiber-rich foods (beans, lentils, chia seeds, flax, oats, apples) → Help bind waste and support regular elimination—essential for moving toxins out of the body.
- Protein (wild fish, pasture-raised poultry, grass-fed beef, eggs, beans, lentils) → Provides amino acids needed for liver detox pathways.
- Colorful plants (berries, beets, pomegranates) → Rich in antioxidants that protect cells and support detox-related enzymes.
Hydration + MINERALS
Hydration is one of the simplest yet most overlooked ways to support detox.
- Filtered water → Aim for half your body weight in ounces per day. My fave filter is my Santevia countertop, but you can also get a pitcher that is less expensive but equally enjoyable)
- Mineral-rich add-ins → A pinch of mineral salt or electrolytes helps support hydration at the cellular level. I love my Organika Electrolytes. Linked here. (Use NOURISHWITHALYSSA25 for 25% off)
- Lemon water → Adds Vitamin C, which acts as an antioxidant and supports a healthy immune system.
Movement + Sweating
Moving your body isn’t just about fitness—it literally helps your detox pathways function.
- Daily walking → Supports lymphatic flow, digestion, and circulation. This winter I will definately be getting a walking pad, might ask for it for Christmas! #adultthings
- Strength + Pilates → Build lean muscle to increase metabolic efficiency.
- Sweating (exercise, sauna, hot yoga, bathing) → One of my favorite ways to release tension, promote circulation, and naturally support elimination.
wellness rituals
These gentle practices help me feel grounded while supporting my body’s natural detox systems.
- Dry brushing → Stimulates circulation and lymphatic drainage.
- Lymphatic drainage massage → Encourages lymph flow, reduces puffiness, and supports overall circulation.
- Castor oil packs → I use these over my liver and abdomen a few times a week to promote liver detoxification and reduce inflammation.
- Magnesium baths → Add magnesium flakes to an evening bath to relax muscles and hydrate the skin after a long day.
My go to supplements
Supplements aren’t the foundation — food and lifestyle always come first — but they can be powerful add-ons when used with intention.
You can explore all of these through my Fullscript online supplement store: Nourish with Alyssa Fullscript Store
- Liposomal Vitamin C → An antioxidant that helps support a healthy immune system and cellular protection.
Shop Vitamin C - Chlorella → A green microalgae rich in chlorophyll, traditionally used to support detoxification and bind toxins.
Shop Chlorella - Glutathione → One of the body’s most powerful antioxidants, essential for liver function and proper detoxification.

A final note
Detox doesn’t need to be complicated or extreme. Your body already has incredible built-in pathways for processing and eliminating…it just needs consistent support.
These are my simple, low-lift practices for keeping my drainage and detox flowing naturally. But there’s so much more to explore within this topic…from the different phases of liver detox to the connection between gut and hormone health.
If you’d love me to do a deeper dive into any of these areas, let me know. I’d love to expand on this in a future post or series.
xo, Alyssa
